New MyGWU Campus Portal Designed to Meet Evolving Technology Needs

Gardner-Webb Students, Faculty and Staff Now Have Easy-to-Use Interface

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—After months of collaboration and teamwork across campus, the new MyGWU Campus Portal rolled out a week ago, replacing an outmoded system. The proposal to replace the old portal was initiated from the Gardner-Webb University Technology Services team.

“As the expiration dates on our previous vendor contracts loomed, one thing was clear—renewing our antiquated system was not what our students, faculty and staff needed,” Technology Services Associate Vice President/CIO Ray Curtis observed. “The old portal was clunky, outdated, and lacked the flexibility required for a modern campus experience. Our colleagues and students deserved better.”

Determined to provide a simple, intuitive, and mobile-friendly solution, GWU Technology Services embarked on a mission to transform how the Gardner-Webb community accessed critical resources. This required collaboration across departments, late nights refining features, and a shared vision of a system that was modern, searchable, and accessible from anywhere.

“Through dedication and teamwork, the MyGWU campus portal was born—a sleek, powerful platform designed to meet the evolving needs of our University,” Curtis asserted. “Today, students and faculty can quickly find what they need with an easy-to-use interface, all while enjoying a seamless, mobile-first experience. The successful rollout of MyGWU was more than just an upgrade; it was a commitment to progress, efficiency, and the future of our campus.”
