Sigma Zeta

The National Science and Mathematics Honors Society, Sigma Zeta, is a national undergraduate honor society that fosters the attainment of knowledge in the natural and computer sciences and mathematics. Sigma Zeta recognizes the attainment of high scholarship among society members.

To be eligible for membership, you must have completed 25 semester hours including 15 hours in the natural sciences, computer science, and/or mathematics, have a GPA of 3.0 in all science, computer science, and mathematics courses, and an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Sigma Zeta seeks to encourage students and to recognize and honor their scholarly achievement.

Qualifications to Join

  • Be a Natural Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Mathematics Education major
  • Have completed 25 hours towards your major
  • Have completed 15 hours of science, computer science, and/or math classes
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in science, computer science, and math
  • Have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA 
  • Pay your membership dues
