Get to Know Bo

Born on May 4, 2021, in Gardner, N.C., Bo is Gardner-Webb’s official live mascot and began his service to the University and the Boiling Springs community on Aug. 26, 2021.

It’s a ‘dawgs life at GWU.

Bo loves meeting future bulldogs and their families, connecting with alumni, cheering for the Runnin’ Bulldogs at home athletic events, and acting as not just a big dawg on campus, but well-known in town, too. Wherever he goes, he is excited to represent Gardner-Webb.

6 Tips for Students

Set yourself up for success!
Get involved—Do what you love and love what you do, and find others who enjoy those things, or try something new! I’m going to give this whole mascot thing a try, what are you going to try this year?
Get to know new people—I am going to be the new kid on campus this year, too! So say hi if you see me (and scratch my ears)
Hydration is key—never leave home without a refillable water bottle (or water bowl) and refill at campus water bottle fill up stations
Keep your fridge stocked with snacks—maybe it’s just me, but I always like a good snack to keep me motivated and focused
GWU is here for you—GWU has many resources to help you succeed in class and in life. Whether you need writing a resume or need to visit a counselor, there are caring people everywhere you look who want you to reach your goals!

Bo Bobblehead

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled the first officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead of Bo as a puppy. The bobblehead’s release celebrates the one-year anniversary of Bo becoming the mascot.

Sitting on a circular red and green base bearing his name on the front and Gardner-Webb on the back, the Bo bobblehead is in a sitting position and wearing a red collar with a tag that reads BO.
