news-category: Campus News Gardner-Webb Holds Vaccine Booster Clinic for Faculty, Staff and Family Members Over 18 By Office of University Communications On October 27, 2021 Mountain Street Pharmacy will Offer Moderna Brand of Vaccine Booster BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Gardner-Webb University will host a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic on Nov. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. for GWU faculty, staff and family members over the age of 18 who have medical coverage from GWU. Mountain Street Pharmacy of Kings Mountain, N.C., is offering the clinic on the Gardner-Webb Boiling Springs Campus in Dover Campus Center’s Ritch Banquet Hall. The Moderna brand of the COVID vaccine booster will be administered. Please click on the link here to sign up. The single booster dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine has been analyzed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and authorized for emergency use. The FDA studied immune response data from 149 participants 18 years of age and older from the original clinical studies who received a booster dose at least 6 months after their second dose.
