Gardner-Webb College of Education Offers One-Stop Registration Event at Charlotte Campus

Teacher Assistant to Teacher Program

Apply Free and Receive Financial Aid Information to Enroll in 2023 Fall Semester

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—The Gardner-Webb College of Education is hosting a One-Stop Registration event for its online elementary education and birth-kindergarten program. On Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at the GWU Charlotte Campus, 8030 Arrowridge Blvd., candidates will be able to apply free and receive financial aid information to start in the 2023 Fall Semester.

College of Education Dean and Professor Dr. Prince Bull noted the benefits of this event. “One-Stop Registration allows applicants to ask all relevant questions, learn more about the elementary education and birth-kindergarten programs, and meet with faculty members, current candidates, the leadership team, and academic advisors,” he observed. “Since the programs are delivered entirely online, the One-Stop Registration provides the connection adult learners need to bridge to the online environment.”

In five to seven semesters, students can graduate with their degree. This accredited bachelor’s program offers a support system for students that includes qualified and experienced professors, mentors, program assessors and other advisors. Students also receive supplementary instruction on teacher licensure exams.

Bull shared that Gardner-Webb’s program receives high marks from teacher candidates as reported on the North Carolina Department of Instruction’s Educator Preparation Program Dashboard.

“Gardner-Webb University leads all Education Preparation Programs with 89% candidate satisfaction in the average percentage of teaching tasks for which they were ‘well’ or ‘very well’ prepared,” he offered, “GWU ranks as the #2 Education Preparation Program in North Carolina in overall employer satisfaction, earning 98% on the percentage of teaching tasks candidates performed as ‘well’ or ‘better than average’ first-year teachers (2020-2022).”
