Bailey Wigness

Head Softball Coach

Previously, Bailey was head softball coach at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort (2018-2021); assistant softball coach at Boise State University in Idaho (2015-2018); and assistant softball coach at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix (2014-2015). Wigness played at national power Arizona State University in Tempe, three times earning All-Pac 12 honors and leading the Sun Devils to the 2011 National Championship. She finished her career with a spectacular .371 batting average, stole 40 bases and scored 130 runs. She was also a three-time Capital One Academic All-America selection in Division I and a member of the Pac-12 All-Academic first team with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She earned the NCAA’s Elite 89 Award in 2013, which is given annually to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA who is also competing in their respective sport’s championship event. Wigness graduated from Arizona State with a degree in communications and political science. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership in 2018 from Boise State. Her hobbies include reading, and watching football and basketball.
