Home / People / Jessica Grant Jessica Grant Asst. Professor of American Sign Language Jessica is assistant professor of sign language, has nearly 20 years of experience in professional interpreting. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a M.S. in Interpreting Pedagogy and received her bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University. Grant became a nationally-certified interpreter at the advanced level in 2008, and later graduated from the University of Northern Colorado graduate Legal Interpreter Training Program. One of her favorite stories from her career was interpreting skiing lessons at a Deaf Expo in the mountains of California. The requirement was for the interpreter to be able to ski backwards while interpreting for the ski instructor. She and her husband have just recently celebrated the birth of their 2-month-old son.
