Home / People / Wendy Athens, EdD, PFHEA Wendy Athens, EdD, PFHEA Director of Academic Innovation and Digital Learning Dr. Athens is is director of Academic Innovation and Digital Learning for GWU Online. Her experience includes a decade in the technology industry (Hewlett-Packard Company), a decade as a secondary science teacher, and a decade in higher education (most recently Utah Valley University and prior to that Florida SouthWestern State College). She has a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction- Educational Technology, a master’s in industrial administration and a bachelor’s in chemistry. Her hobbies include hiking, reading and gardening.
