category: Weather Updates Weather Update: Campus Status and Safety Information By Gardner-Webb University On January 24, 2026 Campus operations remain as previously communicated Gardner-Webb University continues to monitor winter weather conditions and their potential impact on campus operations. At this time, all schedule changes remain as previously announced, and the University remains in Essential Employees Response Team 2, which includes grounds, maintenance, and housekeeping. Monday will remain a remote learning day and will also be a remote workday for all employees, except those supporting Response Team 2 operations. Employees should coordinate directly with their supervisor or vice president for additional guidance.Faculty, staff, and students should prioritize their own health and safety. Travel to and from campus should be carefully evaluated based on current and developing conditions. Campus Preparedness Preparations have been made to ensure campus facilities are prepared to safely accommodate students in the event of a power outage. Additional information will be shared if needed. Please reference the campus map for primary walking routes and avoid barricaded areas and areas marked with caution tape. Use caution on sidewalks, stairs, and parking areas. In some cases, walking on the grass may provide better traction. Report any safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
