Winter Weather: Campus Operations Update

Weather Schedule Update

Gardner-Webb University continues to monitor winter weather conditions and their potential impact on campus operations.

Beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 23, all classes are cancelled through the weekend.

Monday, January 26 will be a remote learning day. Professors will contact affected students directly with further information regarding coursework and expectations related to remote learning.

All extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday will continue as planned at this time.

Dining services are expected to continue operations unless otherwise communicated.

Additional information regarding faculty and staff work expectations and campus operations will be provided Friday by 2 p.m., or sooner if conditions change.

Rescheduled Events

  • Face-to-face classes scheduled for 1/22 and 1/23 in Charlotte have been rescheduled (updated information will be shared directly with affected students). 
  • Track & Field vs. Orange and Purple Invitational moved to Friday, January 23 
  • Swimming at Queens moved to Friday, January 23 
  • Men’s Tennis cancelled 
  • Men’s Basketball vs. USC Upstate moved to Friday, January 23 at 7 p.m. 
  • Women’s Basketball at High Point moved to Friday, January 23 at 7 p.m.
  • First Pitch moved to Friday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. 
  • Hoopscoming rescheduled to Saturday, February 7
