Bo the Bulldog
Hello, I am Bo the Bulldog, but you can call me Bo! I am the Official Mascot-in-training of Gardner-Webb University.
If you are interested in having me attend one of your events, details about our program or just looking to stay in touch, you’re in the right place!
More than just a sweet slobbery face!
Follow along with all of Bo’s Adventures! You can always find him being a friendly face on campus to students, faculty, staff and visitors, surprising prospective students with their #BulldogBound decisions or cheering on one of the 22 NCAA Division I sports teams.
The official mascot for Gardner-Webb University (Boiling Springs, N.C) is the Runnin’ Bulldog. Throughout the years, the bulldog has been represented in numerous forms. Live bulldogs, costumed mascots and athletic branded logos have all been featured in some fashion for GWU. Founded in 1905 as a boarding high school (Boiling Springs High School), the first recorded usage of the bulldog as a mascot for the school was in 1922.
Bo already loves to visit his GWU family and would welcome the opportunity to consider your appearance request.
Make your donation to the Bo Fund and support Gardner-Webb's Priority Fund! Bo loves Gardner-Webb and all its humans. We know you do, too.
Bo couldn’t do what he does without the love and support he receives from our community.
From healthcare, to transportation and gear, the family of sponsors keep Bo atop the ranks of healthiest pooches. However, there is always an opportunity for more.
If you would like to inquire about Bo sponsorship opportunities, contact Richard McDevitt.
