More than 400 premium stadium seats with armrests, backs, and cupholders were installed in June and now populate Section 9, offering the best views of the 50-yardline and all the action on the field. Five of GWU’s 11-game slate this fall will be played at home in Boiling Springs’ Spangler Stadium: Sept. 9 – GWU vs. Elon (Family Weekend, 6 p.m. kickoff). Oct. 7 – GWU vs. Robert Morris (Conference opener, 6 p.m. kickoff). Oct. 21 – GWU vs. Eastern Kentucky (Rematch of last year’s FCS playoff matchup, 6 p.m. kickoff). Oct. 28 – GWU vs. UT Martin (Homecoming, 1:30 p.m. kickoff). Nov. 18 – GWU vs. Charleston Southern (Military Appreciation Day, 1 p.m. kickoff). Season tickets to watch the reigning Big South Conference champions can be purchased here, and individual game tickets will be available soon. Bulldog Club Members will have priority purchase opportunities for these new premium seats. Current members who wish to reserve their premium tickets may contact Richard Martin at 704-406-3523. Section 9 seats will be available for general public beginning July 14th. Gardner-Webb’s remaining schedule is on the road, with two key non-conference matchups in September: Sept. 2 at Appalachian State in Boone, N.C., and Sept. 23 against East Carolina in Greenville. Head coach Tre Lamb’s team will battle ASUN foe Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn., on Oct. 14. The Dawgs round out their road schedule at Tennessee State (Sept. 16), at Bryant (Nov. 4) and at Tennessee Tech (Nov. 11). Gardner-Webb is coming off a seven-win season that saw the Runnin’ Bulldogs win the 2022 Big South Conference title and make their first-ever appearance in the FCS Playoffs. GWU ran past Eastern Kentucky in the opening round before falling at No. 5 William & Mary in the round of 16.The Runnin’ Bulldogs were a perfect 5-0 in Big South play.In 2023, the Big South Conference and OVC (Ohio Valley Conference) enter into the first season of joint association of the two leagues’ football member institutions.
