news-category: Campus News Gardner-Webb Theatre Presents ‘The 39 Steps’ on Oct. 4 By Office of University Communications On September 24, 2024 A Fast-Paced Whodunit, The Play Features Four Actors Playing Many Roles BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Gardner-Webb University Theatre’s first production of the season, “The 39 Steps,” will be rescheduled, will be presented Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Dover Theatre. This play was adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan and the movie by Alfred Hitchcock. A two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning play, “The 39 Steps” is packed with nonstop laughs, a lot of zany characters (played by a cast of four), along with planes, trains, automobiles, and some good old-fashioned romance. Tickets are free for GWU faculty/staff/students; $10 for adults; $5 for other students, seniors and veterans. Purchase tickets.
