Incoming Undergraduate Students Can Learn More About Academics, Housing, Financial Aid and Other Essentials BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Accepted Student Day (ASD) at Gardner-Webb University is a time to welcome and congratulate those students who will be attending this fall. Etera Pendleton, of Monroe, N.C., has already registered for ASD on March 22, and she encourages others to attend. The day begins with check in at 9 a.m. at Dover Campus Center. “I look forward to meeting all the other accepted students and learning about the many opportunities at GWU—such as studying abroad, mission trips, and more about my major,” Pendleton shared. Students will also hear from the GWU advising team, complete a pre-registration worksheet and talk to representatives from Housing and Residence Education. They will also have an opportunity to speak to the financial aid team and tour campus. Registration is open until March 19. Register here. Etera Pendleton is one of eight students to win an IgniteScholarship Pendleton came to the GWU campus for the Honors Experience in July 2024 and decided during the week that she wanted to attend Gardner-Webb. “God ultimately showed me that Gardner-Webb will allow me thrive spiritually in a way I wouldn’t be able to at a non-Christian university,” she related. “Throughout the whole experience, I knew God’s hands were touching this university. You can see different fruits of His spirit in different people. I felt like I can truly blossom, and I didn’t want to leave.” Because Pendleton participated in the Honors Experience, she was automatically invited to interview for Gardner-Webb’s full-tuition Ignite Excellence Scholarship. In February, she was awarded one of the eight Ignite Scholarships presented this year. Pendleton plans to major in Christian studies and minor in missiology.
