Carter, who finished with a 3.97 GPA while completing his degree in business administration, and Edwards, who maintained a 3.84 GPA while majoring in biology, were recognized with the Commissioner Medal from the Southern Conference. They were among 846 student-athletes in the league who attained a grade point average of 3.80 or higher throughout the year.
