We are transfer-friendly!

At Gardner-Webb, we pride ourselves on being a “Transfer-Friendly” institution. We’re committed to providing you a seamless transfer with minimal loss of credit or repetition of coursework whether your starting point is Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, Practical Nurse, Associate of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, Associate in Fine Arts, Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation, Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation, or other. We welcome North Carolina Community College students – and those from other states – into either the Traditional Undergraduate or GWU Online Degree Completion Programs. We encourage joining Bulldog Bound, which provides community colleges students early access to information about academic programs, faculty, and staff at the GWU campus who will facilitate the transition to Gardner-Webb University.

The Nursing Bridge Agreement provides a seamless PN-to-ASN-to-DNP pathway for North Carolina Community College students. Students who have completed an AA or AS will be only be required to take LIB , REL 300, and REL 301 courses to meet all general education requirements. Students who have completed AAS should follow the AAS Transfer Pathway Plans and are encouraged to speak with their community college transfer advisor or Gardner-Webb enrollment teams (Traditional Undergraduate ([email protected]) or GWU Online Degree Completion ([email protected]) to develop a transfer plan.

As a signatory member of the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (ICAA) between North Carolina Community Colleges and North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities, we’re committed to providing you a seamless transfer with minimal loss of credit or repetition of coursework.

TRANSFER CREDIT

Students transferring from accredited two-year institutions may transfer up to 60 credit hours. Students transferring from accredited four-year institutions may transfer up to 90 credit hours. Students transferring from a combination of two- and four-year institutions may transfer a maximum of 90 credit hours with no more than 60 of the 90 hours coming from two-year institutions. All transfer students must complete at least the final 30 credit hours with Gardner-Webb.

TRANSFER CREDIT EQUIVALENCIES
