Coronavirus Information: North Carolina’s Most recent Executive Order and Fall 2020 Ppdates

Gardner-Webb continues to prepare for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester. Here are the latest updates for the GWU community.

In accordance with North Carolina’s most recent Executive Order, effective June 26 at 5:00PM, face coverings are required everywhere indoors on the Gardner-Webb Campus both in Boiling Springs and in Charlotte where physical distancing of six feet or more cannot be maintained. This is in effect until July 17^th at 5:00 pm.  In outdoors areas, everyone is strongly encouraged to wear masks where physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Gardner-Webb and Atrium Health are announcing a new partnership that will enhance the University’s commitment to students. Beginning in July, Atrium will operate a Student Health Clinic on campus. The new clinic will be located at 148 Memorial Drive. Dr. David A. Cosenza, medical director for Atrium Health Employer Solutions, noted that the new partnership allows Atrium to fulfill its mission. “We are proud to partner with Gardner-Webb University on this clinic,” he affirmed. “At Atrium Health, we are committed to providing quality and convenient access to care.”

Regarding the tentative August 1 date for spring and summer 2020 commencement, the University plans to make a decision and an announcement by July 1. Alternative dates and locations are being considered.
