Expands Partnership with Alpha Graphics South Charlotte as title sponsor of the Runnin’ Bulldogs Sports Network

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Gardner-Webb University Athletics has renewed its agreement with 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte (N.C.) to continue as the flagship radio station for 2023-2024 men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Again this season, select broadcasts of Gardner-Webb men’s and women’s basketball games will air live throughout the region on 730 AM and 97.5 FM. All games will air digitally on ESPN Charlotte’s online platforms, in addition to the Varsity Network App and gwusports.com/listenlive.

Gardner-Webb has also expanded another existing partnership, naming AlphaGraphics South Charlotte as the presenting sponsor of the Runnin’ Bulldogs Sports Network.

“ESPN is the worldwide leader in sports and ESPN Radio is a great way for us to connect with our fan base in the Charlotte area,” said Vice President & Director of Athletics Dr. Andrew T. Goodrich. “We are also honored to continue and extend our partnership with AlphaGraphics South Charlotte, they have been excellent supporters of the Runnin’ Bulldogs!”

Family owned and operated with more than 40 years of industry experience, AlphaGraphics South Charlotte is a full-service printing, signage, and marketing solutions specialist, recently named 2023 AlphaGraphics Franchise of the Year.

“We are excited to further our sponsorship this year with Gardner-Webb Athletics and the Runnin’ Bulldogs Sports Network,” said Rich Schepler, owner of AlphaGraphics South Charlotte. “We’re always looking to partner with organizations who strive for excellence like we do here at AlphaGraphics South Charlotte. Gardner-Webb is a perfect example of that and it’s reflected in their success on and off the court.”

Phil Constantino, assistant athletic director for Broadcasting & Strategic Communication and the play-by-play “Voice of the Runnin’ Bulldogs,” returns for his fourth season as the primary voice of Gardner-Webb basketball. Constantino will provide radio play-by-play of all men’s basketball road games and select women’s basketball road games.

Veteran sportscaster Jim “Mojo” Morrison returns for his third season at Gardner-Webb. Morrison will again provide the play-by-play call for men’s home games while Constantino handles the TV call, and continues as Constantino’s color analyst for road games.

Mark Binetti and Jon Gross are both back for their second seasons at Gardner-Webb and will share in the play-by-play responsibilities, with a primary focus on the women’s team.

“Our philosophy is to try to connect with all of the sports teams in the area in order to air as many games as possible,” said 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte General Manager Mario Washington. “That’s why we call ourselves ‘The Game’ because we want audiences to know that this is the place to listen to games on an almost daily basis. By renewing our partnership with Gardner-Webb, we will continue to provide the best play-by-play in the Charlotte region.”
