Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society Inducts New Members

Faculty Invites Seven Students for Membership

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—The Gardner-Webb University Tau Omega Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society inducted new members on April 19. The ceremony was held in the Lisa Tucker Library inside Hamrick Hall.

Dr. Charles Moore, professor of Spanish, is the faculty sponsor.

To be invited by the Spanish faculty for membership, inductees must have excelled in at least one upper-level Spanish course. They must show a love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture and be present at the induction ceremony to be members in-full. 

The 2022 inductees are:

  • Tiara Sherlin, junior nursing major.
  • Ulises Martinez, senior biology major.
  • Chloe Townsend, senior Spanish major.
  • Paula Harvie, junior world languages, literature, and cultures major.
  • Leah Carpenter, junior nursing major.
  • Brooklyn Tretter, junior nursing major.
  • Kyndal Jackson, sophomore, major undecided.
