She has worked in various retail and office positions since graduating from high school in 1997. During her enrollment at Gardner-Webb (1999-2001), she worked as a work-study student in Admissions & Financial Planning. April returned after graduation to serve as the secretary for the Graduate School (2002-2003). From, 2007 to 2023, she was a custom picture framer & designer, opening her own business in 2018. April earned an Associate Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences, major in Business Administration, in 1999 from Virginia Highlands Community College. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Management. In 2001 from Gardner-Webb University. Her interests include interior design, art, photography, picture framing, retail business, small business, accounting, organizing, and spending time her family.
