Prior to that, she taught for two years at Campbellsville University in Kentucky and as an adjunct with Simmons Bible College in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Qualls teaches Hebrew and Old Testament classes where she incorporates service-learning and community engagement into some of the courses. Her areas of special interest are historical and modern day slavery and the call to justice in prophetic literature. Publications include several articles and expository sermons. Dr. Qualls has remained active in the local church, serving as teacher, conference speaker and youth minister.
