Notes, Reminders and Handy Information Available to New and Returning Undergraduate Students

As new and returning traditional undergraduate students prepare for the 2023 Spring Semester at Gardner-Webb University, Dean of Students Lesley Villarose offers the following reminders. Classes begin on Jan. 11, and all students may begin checking into residence halls, apartments, or suites on Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New Students

Welcome to GWU. More information about New Student Orientation is available here, or contact Assistant Dean of Students Brian Arnold.

Residential Students

New and returning students who live in a residence hall should go to the lobby to check in with their building staff. Those who live in the apartments or suites should go to the University Club House to check in with their community staff.

Late check-in

Any student who needs to check in after 5 p.m. on Jan. 9, needs to let a housing staff member know and may notify Housing and Residence Education On-Call at 704-300-3161.

Early check-in

Students who request to come in early, should complete the Christmas Break Request Application in the housing self-service portal. This application will need to be approved before the student arrives on campus. Students who request to come in early for a non-university related reason, may be charged $25 per day that they are on campus.

Meal plans

Meal plans have been rolled over from the fall semester. The deadline to change meal plans is Jan. 18. Students who would like to make a change to their meal plan, may email [email protected] before the deadline with their student ID number and the new plan they would like to select.

Bulldog Bundle

The Bulldog Bundle program gives students access to all their course materials. More information is available here.
