She will speak at 2 p.m. in the Gardner-Webb Laboratory Center, Room 117. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from GWU, Roberts earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia. “I was super excited when Dr. (Ben) Brooks asked me to come speak to the students on dentistry and my time at Gardner-Webb,” Roberts stated. “Gardner-Webb played an important role in helping me to grow as a student and a Christian. I loved and respected all of my instructors and thrived in the small classroom setting. I look forward to getting back on campus, seeing how things have changed, seeing how some things haven’t changed, and hopefully inspiring the next generation to reach for their academic goals.” Roberts received both academic and athletic scholarships to GWU. She was a standout student-athlete on the women’s basketball team and in 2008 received the Distinguished Lady Bulldogs Alumni award. She is also a former member of the Gardner-Webb Board of Trustees. She practices at Crossroads Family Dentistry in Forest, Va. The program is open to students, faculty and staff.
