Two-Time Reigning Football Champs Announce Full 2024 Schedule

Season tickets now available for purchase to Bulldog Club Members, open to general public on May 7

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The two-time reigning conference champion Gardner-Webb football team has announced its complete schedule for the upcoming 2024 season. The four-game non-conference slate and eight-game conference lineup opens on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. vs. Wofford College at Spangler Stadium.

The next two weeks, the ‘Dawgs will travel to FBS opponents James Madison University (Sept. 7) and UNC Charlotte (Sept. 14). The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Presbyterian College, before the Runnin’ Bulldogs open their title defense with their Big South-OVC opener on Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Tennessee Tech.

“We are excited for the 2024 Runnin’ Bulldogs football team to be on display in front of a packed Spangler Stadium this fall,” said first-year head coach Cris Reisert. “We plan to be the hardest playing and most excited team each week, and we are confident that’ll lead to a successful 2024 season!”

Downs. “Coach Reisert brings experience, confidence, and a mountain of positive energy to Boiling Springs … and fans are going to want to be part of his inaugural season. I’m eager for fall Saturdays to get here, not just for the home games but also for the renewal of our BBQ Bowl rivalry game on the road in November. It’s going to be high-energy, high-octane football and a great gameday experience!”  

Season tickets for Gardner-Webb’s five home games are now available for purchase exclusively to Bulldog Club Members. Home games include a big matchup on Oct. 19 against Lindenwood for GWU Homecoming as well the annual Military Appreciation Day game on Nov. 16 against Tennessee State.
