Gardner-Webb Football Ready for 2025 Campaign

Season Tickets Available for Five Home Games

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Entering his second season at the helm of the program, head coach Cris Reisert and the Gardner-Webb football team have announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. This year’s slate includes four non-conference contests as well as an eight-game Big South/OVC schedule. Gardner-Webb opens the 2025 campaign with a trip to Cullowhee, N.C., to face the Catamounts of Western Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 30, with a kick time of 6 p.m.

“We have had a tremendous off-season, and our team is fired up for the 2025 campaign,” Reisert asserted. “We can’t wait to see a packed Spangler Stadium this fall.”

The Runnin’ Bulldogs will play seven games away from home and five games within the friendly confines of Spangler Stadium.

“This year’s schedule reflects our commitment to building a championship-caliber program while delivering an exciting experience for our fans,” shared GWU Interim President Nate Evans. “Every game is an opportunity to showcase the hard work of our student-athletes and the strength of the Gardner-Webb community. We are looking forward to a competitive season and to seeing all the Bulldog faithful in the stands on gameday.”

Trophy last year.
  • Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. – Family Weekend/Red Out/Runnin’ With the ‘Dawgs vs. The Citadel.
  • Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m – Annual North-South BBQ Bowl vs. Charleston Southern. In last year’s rivalry game, the Runnin’ Bulldogs took bragging rights and the coveted North-South BBQ Bowl Trophy with a thrilling 17-14 win over CSU.
  • Oct. 18 at 1:30 p.m. – Homecoming showdown with UT Martin.
  • Nov. 8 at 1:30 p.m. – Annual Military Appreciation game versus Southeast Missouri State.
  • Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. – Senior Day vs. Western Illinois.

  • *Nov. 1 – 1 p.m., at Tennessee Tech, Cookeville, Tenn.
  • *Nov. 8 – 1:30 p.m., vs. Southeast Missouri State, Military Appreciation. 
  • *Nov. 15 – 1:30 p.m. Tennessee State University, Nashville.
  • *Nov. 22 – 1:30 p.m., vs. Western Illinois, Senior Day.
