The Office of Church Relations at Gardner-Webb University partners with Christ-centered churches, associations and denominations to advance the Kingdom of God—together.
We want to connect churches to the resources of Gardner-Webb University and also connect students with the broader Christian church community. As the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians, “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:4-6)
Church Relations is an entry point to the University’s educational and ministry resources including:
The Ministers Advisory Council is a valuable resource of wisdom and information for the University and also gives Gardner-Webb the opportunity to share its resources with ministers and congregations. It is designed to strengthen and improve the relationship of the University with the Church.
Members of the Ministers Advisory Council may approve and recommend a student for the Ministers Advisory Council Scholarship. If approved, the scholarship will be for $250 ($125 per semester) for four years provided the academic and citizenship standards required by the University are maintained. The student must be enrolled at least full-time (12 credit hours).
For more information, or to receive an application, please contact Aaron Hinton.
GWU will match a scholarship from a church—dollar for dollar—up to the cost of tuition.
This $5,500 scholarship is awarded to a dependent student of a full-time minister of a church or an ordained, full-time employee of a church or church-related agency.
Scholarships (up to 30% of tuition) awarded to those students answering God’s call to prepare for full-time Christian vocational ministry.
Every year, we offer programming through the Pittman Center, Dimensions, the Greene Lecture Series, and the Pastors School as well as special events like the Christian Service Organization dinner banquets.
The Office of Church Relations is dedicated to providing programming and resources to help connect the Gardner-Webb University community to the Church. Please contact us to discuss opportunities to collaborate.
