Post-Acceptance Requirements

Hello, Class of 2026,

Welcome to Gardner-Webb University Physician Assistant Studies Program! This page is filled with important information to prepare you for joining the program in January 2024. Please read it carefully and check back regularly for updates.

All post-acceptance requirements are due by November 15, 2023. Failure to comply could result in loss of your seat in the program. Should you have any difficulty in achieving this, please contact the program via email before the deadline with a written explanation.

Basic Cardiac Life Support

Please upload a copy of your American Heart Association or American Red Cross certified BCLS/BLS cards to your CASPA application. The certification must be current (not expiring before January 2025). Alternatively, an active EMT certification not expiring before January 2025 may be substituted.

Healthcare Experience Hours Verification

You are required to complete and obtain necessary signatures to verify your HCE hours as stated in CASPA.  Once signatures have been obtained, please upload your complete HCE Verification form to your CASPA application under Program Documents.

Medical Terminology

We recommend that you study a Medical Terminology text in preparation for the upcoming semester, with particular focus on terminology for Anatomy & Physiology and Pharmacology. The following book is highly recommended.
