Learn more about Cost & Financial Aid
Approximately 96% of our students receive financial aid. Thanks to a generous financial aid budget and inclusive aid policies, graduating from Gardner-Webb is an attainable goal for talented, hardworking students from a wide range of backgrounds.
As we look to positively impact the residents of our own communities, Gardner-Webb has created The Foothills Commitment. In Cleveland, Gaston, and Rutherford Counties, new freshman students set to enroll in a full-time residential undergraduate program at GWU will receive a guaranteed institutional aid gift of $15,600, which is a minimum of 50% of tuition.
Gardner-Webb University desires to be accessible and welcoming to students of all backgrounds. To make transferring from a two-year college into a four-year university even more seamless, we recently signed co-admissions agreements with three community colleges in the region. Known as the “Bulldog Bound” program, the agreements allow currently-enrolled Gaston College, Blue Ridge Community College and Greenville Technical College students to participate in the direct-entry pathway to Gardner-Webb upon graduation. Students who wish to participate in the Program must satisfy the GWU admission and transfer degree requirements.
Any Gardner-Webb student who receives a scholarship from a Christian church can now obtain a matching scholarship from GWU. This program represents a substantial expansion of our Church-Matching and Minister’s Dependent scholarship programs.
With 70+ major and minor programs of study, you can focus on what’s most meaningful in your life, learn to apply it to your future, and advance your career opportunities. And, with small, individualized classes taught by some of the finest professors in a faith-based context, GWU represents the ideal collegiate environment for students to thrive.
