Gardner-Webb University Searight PACE Program combines theory with practical application, and flexibility, to give you a holistic view of real-world and strategic HR management that includes an overview of people analytics.
This certificate program is designed for human resource professionals who want to advance their competence in payroll law, compensation structures, and other payroll-related topics. This interactive program includes practical activities to apply knowledge and advance HR skills.
Completion of the class will result in a certificate of completion, 6 SRHM credits, and/or 6 CLE credits from North Carolina Bar.

Certificate in Employment Law for Human Resource Professionals and Managers
This certificate equips HR professionals and managers with critical knowledge in employment law, focusing on:Federal Acts and Legal Compliance: Detailed exploration of key federal employment laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Civil Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other regulations that govern workplace practices. Participants will learn how to ensure compliance and implement effective policies.
Ethical Responsibility: Examination of ethical issues in employment law, including fair treatment, discrimination, and workplace integrity. The course emphasizes developing a culture of ethics and accountability, addressing ethical dilemmas, and fostering a respectful and compliant work environment.
