Gardner-Webb University Searight PACE Program combines theory with practical application, and flexibility, to give you a holistic view of real-world and strategic HR management that includes an overview of people analytics.

This certificate program is designed for human resource professionals who want to advance their competence in payroll law, compensation structures, and other payroll-related topics. This interactive program includes practical activities to apply knowledge and advance HR skills.

Completion of each class will result in 6 SRHM credits.

Students and professionals who complete this program:

Learn about designing pay structures, developing employee policies, communicating employee benefits, selecting payroll systems and working with the executive team to develop hiring and employment goals
Understand the basic principles of using HR analytics to improve collaboration between employees and between departments to meet goals, whether it’s driving innovation or efficiency

PACE 901 Payroll

Learn how to develop employee and employer related taxes and how withholdings work. Communicate and explain the payroll process to employees. Develop, plan, and implement a compensation structure.
