Frequently Asked Questions for the Brinkley Amphitheater

Venue policies may be different from event to event so please check the individual event page for specific details prior to attending each event. Here are some helpful tips for enjoying your visit.

The Brinkley Amphitheatre is happy to offer accessible seating and parking at all our events.

Accessible seating areas are at the top level and at the ground level of the amphitheater.

Designated accessible parking is available in all Gardner-Webb University and the Town of Boiling Springs parking lots. View Map

Auxiliary aids will be made available to persons with disabilities upon request 10 working days prior to the event.

Our goal is to create a safe experience for all guests and staff. Clear bags are easily searched and significantly reduce faulty bag searches.

Here is a list of bags that will be permitted, but may be subject to inspection at prior to entry:

  • Any transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • Purses, bags or clutches no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″
  • Diaper Bag for guest accompanied by infant(s)
  • Containers for medical supplies or special food items for diabetics (please contact the director of event services at (704) 406-4269 for more information on the approval process)

Non-transparent bags or items, including backpacks, binocular/camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags, fanny packs, purses larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, are not permitted.

Fans are encouraged not to bring any bags or items that need inspection as our goal is to get all patrons seated as quickly as possible.

Tickets can be purchased prior to the event online here, and in person at the gate, day of the show.

Cash, contactless payment methods as well as all major debit and credit cards are accepted at all points of sale.

ATM machines are located nearby at the CVS, 105 E College Avenue.

  • Please download your ticket(s) to your mobile device prior to coming to the event.
  • Turn the brightness up on phone to highest setting.

  • All guests will be screened for events and items will be subject to inspection.
  • Signage will be used to define points of entry, lanes for queuing, and directional flow.
  • Prohibited items that are discovered during security inspections at the stadium entrances must be either returned to the owner’s vehicle or discarded.
  • Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of those items may be denied entrance into the stadium and is subject to arrest. Any prohibited item discovered inside the stadium is subject to confiscation.

To ensure that all fans have a safe and enjoyable visit to Gardner-Webb University events, the following items are not permitted in any of our venues:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • All balls, including footballs, baseball, softball, soccer or basketballs of any size
  • All non-transparent bags or items, including backpacks, binocular/camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags, fanny packs, purses larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, etc.
  • Baby seats
  • Balloons
  • Coolers or containers, including cans and bottles
  • Explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Horns, bells, whistles and other noise makers
  • Illegal drugs
  • Laptops
  • Laser pointers
  • Pets, except service animals assisting those with disabilities
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Video equipment
  • Weapons of any kind and size, including guns, knives, scissors and those carried with a permit
  • Other items that in the judgment of Event Management/University Police pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons

  • Review “Bag Policy” dropdown menu for specific details pertaining to bags and purses.
  • Seat pads without covers, zippers, clasps, pockets or any other device that would allow concealment of any items
  • Tablets

Event Staff members are available at each event and can assist with venue information.

Lost & Found: Patrons who find items during an event are asked to drop the item off with Guest Services, with an event staff member, or at the Box Office.  All items are kept for 7 days and then will be donated if unclaimed.

Free parking will be available in designated lots on Gardner-Webb’s campus.

Some street parking may also be available.

Pets are not allowed at The Brinkley Amphitheatre events unless otherwise specified on the event page.

Service animals are permitted in the amphitheater. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained. If a service animal interferes with other guests, corrective action may include re-arranging seating or removal of the service animal from the amphitheater.

Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not Service Animals as defined by the 2010 ADA Guidelines and are not allowed.

Restrooms are available inside the venue.

All restrooms are accessible for our guests with disabilities and are equipped with infant changing stations.

Official GWU merchandise will be on sale at the amphitheater. Items such as blankets, ponchos and stadium seat cushions will be available for purchase inside the stadium.
