Admission Requirements

To apply for initial admission to Physician Assistant Studies Program, the applicant MUST provide proof of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from a US regionally accredited institution
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Official transcripts from all schools attended

Prerequisite Course Work

(from a US. Regionally accredited institution)
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology with lab - two semesters or equivalent
  • General Biology with lab - one semesters or equivalent
  • Additional Biology with lab - one semester or equivalent
  • Microbiology with lab - one semester or equivalent
  • General Chemistry with lab - one semesters or equivalent
  • Additional Chemistry with lab - one semester or equivalent
  • Organic Chemistry with lab - one semester or equivalent
  • Statistics (business statistics not accepted) - one course
  • Psychology - one course
  • Medical Terminology - one course

All prerequisite course work must meet the following:

  • Minimum of 2.7 (equal to a B-) in each course required
  • With the exception of Psychology and Medical Terminology, survey courses do not meet the prerequisite requirements (usually a 100 or 101 class)

Experience (Health Care)

  • Patient care experience form reflecting the number of claimed hands on clinical experience (verification letters from each organization is also required)

Additional Requirements (GRE, Recommendations, TOEFL)

  • We currently do not require the GRE.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation.  One must be from a medical professional.
  • TOEFL for all students where English is not their primary language
