Dr. Jennifer Buckner

The volume, “Amplifying Soundwriting Pedagogies: Integrating Sound into Rhetoric and Writing,” was recently published by the WAC Clearinghouse and features a chapter written by Dr. Jennifer Buckner (English) and 9 Gardner-Webb University graduates: Benjamin Flournoy (BA alum, current MA), Katie Furr, Sarah Johnson, Katie Lewis, Angela Meade, Hannah Ray, Garrett Simpson, Kate Vriesema, and Ally Ward. Dr. Buckner and students/alums are responsible for chapter 17 in the volume (more on publisher website). In the chapter, you’ll find 25 activities/assignments that you can use for soundwriting in your classes since this is geared for teachers. Each assignment has written chapter and digital files with student samples and a reflection.
