Interested in becoming a tutor or writing consultant?

About the Position

Working in the LRC allows you to grow your skills as a leader, critical thinker, and professional—all while in school!

Expectations

Our tutors and writing staff are expected to embody the values of Gardner-Webb’s Division of Student Success and go above-and-beyond in helping students grow academically.

While our staff members are able to create their own schedules, we ask that tutors provide up to four hours of availability per week and writing consultants provide up to seven hours of availability a week. Both tutors and writing staff are asked to participate in flexible tutoring at both a physical location and on Zoom. Additionally, staff are expected to attend ongoing educational events throughout the semester to enhance their teaching abilities.

If you would like to join our team for the fall 2024 semester, applications should be sent in by March 20, 2024.
