Step 1: Admission Requirements

What classes should I take in high school to qualify for admission to Gardner-Webb?

While a fixed pattern of high school credits is not prescribed, the following minimum course distribution is recommended as the basic preparation for academic work at Gardner-Webb

What are the GPA and SAT/ACT scores for the current freshman class?

GPA – 3.72 grade point average

SAT – 1015

ACT – Composite score of 22

Step 2: Apply to Gardner-Webb 

• Complete an Online Application
• Submit Official high school transcripts (grades 9 through 12) to Gardner-Webb University.
• Gardner-Webb University is test-optional.  However, if you have taken a standardized test, please do submit SAT or ACT scores to Gardner-Webb University via the College Board or high school Guidance Office. Senior year scores are preferred (Gardner-Webb’s code for the SAT is 5242 and the ACT code is 3102).

You will be contacted by your admissions counselor if more information is needed. Admissions decisions will be released starting in mid-September, after that, we will notify you within three weeks regarding your admission status. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions.

Step 3: Financial Aid

• Fill out a FAFSA. The FAFSA code for Gardner-Webb is University is 002929.
• Visit our Scholarships page for scholarship information
• You will automatically be considered for the Gardner-Webb Ignite Excellence Scholarship upon your acceptance to the university.

Step 4: Important Dates

• Admission decisions are made dependent upon the receipt of a completed application and all supporting documentation. Acceptance notifications will be delivered three weeks after these documents are received.
