Ignite Your Soul

A huge part of the educational experience at GWU is learning what it means to love God and be a loving neighbor in your community and beyond. Check out the resources available to help you ignite your faith.

The Office of Christian Life and Service

The Office of Christian Life and Service provides you with resources and programming to ignite your faith by offering pastoral counseling, coordinating mission trips, and enhancing student ministries. Department staff support the campus through prayer and teaching throughout the year at student ministries and campus events.

That’s what college is all about: figuring out what you want to do and who you want to be, and when everyone around you is pointing you towards Christ, it’s a lot easier to be focused on Him.Caitlyn ’16, American Sign Language

Student Ministries

Student Ministries are an important and sustaining part of Gardner-Webb’s faith community. Students lead and coordinate The Gathering, a weekly campus wide worship service, and F.O.C.U.S. (Fellowship of Christians United in Service) teams that volunteer with local churches. Other ministries include FCA, men’s and women’s small group, gospel choir, Prison Fellowship, and more.

Throughout the academic year, Gardner-Webb invites guest speakers from religious, academic, and professional backgrounds to address important topics in faith and culture. Past speakers include NASA leadership development trainer Ronnie Doss, folk music duo Jenny & Tyler, and Carolina Panthers legend John Kasay.
