And be sure it is Boiling Springs not Shelby. This will also delay your package or drop off in Shelby and not in Boiling Springs.
Yes, unless they moved off campus. And if they continue to stay on campus for their master’s degree, they are responsible for letting the Mail Center know they want to keep their campus box number while continuing their education or otherwise they will lose the number and will have to get different campus box numbers.
The student needs to login in the GWU Portal under” Student Document and Resources”.
They will find their campus box number. If they do not see it, they are welcome to come to the window of the Mail Center, and we will be glad to help your student. Or send email and include your student ID #.
No, GWU Mail Center mailbox locker system to process and deliver mail and packages. The Campus Box is an ID to help identify the intended student and does not match a physical mailbox on campus. All packages and mail for students are picked up at Mail Center. No physical mailboxes or combination boxes are utilized at GWU.
We receive several thousand pieces of letter mail and packages that require sorting/processing for the hundreds of students we serve daily. Our standard is to have all items processed within a day of arrival at the Mail Center. Please allow slightly longer processing times during the beginning of the school year when our volume is higher than average.
If Amazon or another company notifies you that a package has been delivered, it may have arrived at the Boiling Springs Post Office, but it has not yet arrived at GWU Mail Center on campus. The USPS marks all packages coming to Boiling Springs as “delivered’ to satisfy their agreement with Amazon to “deliver” the package. It does not mean the package is physically on our campus yet, but it will be soon. An email will be sent out to the student once the package is ready for pickup.
All packages are held for two weeks. If we are unable to determine the intended recipient, no email will be sent. Please see us at the window or contact us by email ([email protected]) with a tracking number and we will be happy to locate your package.
Sometimes these emails will go to spam folders or perhaps we are still processing the package. If your package is here and you have not got the notification through your GWU email, please wait until 3pm to come see us at the window with the tracking number for your package. We will be glad to help you.
We allow two weeks for packages or mail to be picked up. After two-week holding period we return all letter mail and packages to the sender.
Some mail is time sensitive, and the sender needs to be aware that the letter/package was not received. Space is also a factor.
After three days we will remove them and put them in the back. You will get notification email that is removed, and you will need to go to the window. Also, at the beginning of the school year we get volume packages and we need the room for another student to be able to get their package.
Shipping prices vary by carrier, weight, and location. These prices fluctuate daily and are unable to be accurately provided until the time of shipment.
