Student Success
The mission of the Division of Student Success is to provide resources and support to educate, equip, and empower all students to succeed academically and personally in their unique college journey.
We live out this mission every day in a God-honoring way that promotes an engaging and academically enriching Christ-animated higher education experience for Gardner-Webb students. From advising and tutoring to learning accommodations and academic coaching, we are here to support you as a whole image-bearing person, in and out the classroom.
We advocate for our GWU students through a variety of programs, services, and opportunities that embody our five guiding values: Access, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Partnership, and Growth. These values guide all that we do in our division, and they compel us to meet each student where they are to provide a collaborative network of holistic care. Our job is to help you succeed!

Student Success is comprised of four unique areas dedicated to serving you.
Every incoming student is paired with a staff advisor to help navigate things like course selection and academic success strategies. We also provide consistent support for your entire time at The Webb.
College can be challenging, and we are here to help. From tutoring and writing services to our engaging University 111 first-year seminar course, our goal is to help you connect, belong, and succeed.
We believe every student reflects the Image of God, and we aim to create policies and practices that foster a climate where students with disabilities succeed in ways proportionate to their peers
As an NCAA Division 1 school, we match our emphasis on athletics with support for our student-athletes. We aim to help students succeed in the classroom, on the field, and in all areas of their lives.

The support I received at Gardner-Webb allowed me to succeed and discover the purpose God has for my life. The many resources across campus helped me understand who God called me to be, and provided encouragement with discovering that call. Gardner-Webb afforded me with countless one-on-one relationships to help navigate life, whether academically, spiritually, emotionally, or physically. I am forever grateful for the difference Gardner-Webb made in my life.
