Lindsay Koppel

Ambitious Bulldog

Dripping Springs, TX

Lindsay Koppel, ’21, loves traveling and dreams of moving abroad. She has lived in various cities over the United States, including Boiling Springs, North Carolina, when she decided to attend Gardner-Webb University. Between GWU’s welcoming community and international business programs, Lindsay knew she had chosen the right place.

Lindsay earned her bachelor’s degree in International Business with a double minor in Spanish and Marketing. Now she’s in Norway attending the Norwegian School of Economics. As a member of the women’s golf team, SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee), Athletic Leadership Development Program, College Democrats, Alpha Chi, and Pre-Law Society, she kept busy but remained immersed in all areas.

As an Ambitious Bulldog, Lindsay pushed herself out of her comfort zone and made friends from all over the world. “The majority of my friend group was international,” she shared. “It was great to be able to learn about their countries and cultures, and it inspired me even more to make the jump abroad [to Norway]!”

While at Gardner-Webb, Lindsay studied abroad in Costa Rica with the Spanish program. It was the most unforgettable experience for her as she was able to practice the language somewhere completely different from the classroom. We can all agree with Lindsay that Gardner-Webb is a diverse university with all types of students and activities.

To current high school students, Lindsay encourages you to push yourself to make a change. “You end up growing and learning about yourself and all that you are capable of,” she said. “Most people are capable of much more than they give themselves credit for.”

Gardner-Webb is full of all types of Bulldogs, some like Lindsay. Be your own unique self – no matter your interests, you’ll find something you enjoy and meet people you connect with.
