Your GWU Pep Band strives to create excitement, entertainment and memories for all. This energetic group plays at all home Men’s and Women’s basketball games, as well as other various functions around campus. They also travel off campus to perform! The band has become an integral part to the university, being one of the most requested ensembles. The band brings energy, spirit and engaging music to all basketball games, events and more!
You could receive a $250 scholarship for your participation!
The band is open to anyone that plays woodwinds, brass, drumset, mallets, bass, or guitar. The GWU Pep Band has their very own Dance Team! Community members are welcomed!
Under the direction of Dr. Sarah Fabian, the band has risen to popularity and has multiple post-season appearances by both basketball teams. The Band has attended post-season play at the Big South Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. They were flown out to Utah for March Madness and were featured performers for the Charlotte Knights.
GWU Pep Band has its very own Dance Team! You will have the opportunity to perform on the court and in the stands. Community members are welcome to join! To join the Dance Team or if you have any questions about auditions, please contact Dr. Sarah Fabian
