The Office of Web & Digital Communications is responsible for managing the Gardner-Webb University website, email communication, as well as the top level social media platforms. The team of three brings expertise in the following areas:

  • Project management for digital projects;
  • Content planning for stories on the University website;
  • Performance measurement via Google Analytics and Search Engine Optimization;
  • WordPress (web content management system) administration, infrastructure management, and coordination of upgrades and patches;
  • Development and coding to further extend website functionality; 
  • Email design, development and deployment to the University community; and
  • Social media management, including content strategy, campaign deployment, and data analysis.

Using our university owned channels, we spread the Gardner-Webb story to a worldwide audience and enable our university community to the do the same. The content we produce and distribute always support the brand.

Our primary goal is to communicate and support the mission and values through:

  • Communicating the news and culture of the University.
  • Engaging audiences in online conversations by building relationships.
  • Providing a strong, unified institutional image and a positive web experience.
  • Improving and ensuring the successful delivery of University communications to all faculty, staff, students, alumni and other community members.

Social Media is a key component of Gardner-Webb Web & Digital Communications. This team produces and shares content to engage with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the larger University community across a multitude of platforms that reach over 50,000 followers.
