student production of O' Little Red Riding Hood

Participation in productions gives the student an opportunity to perform roles in works ranging from musicals to chamber opera to standard operatic literature.

Opera Theatre (MUSC 378) is open to any GWU student, regardless of major. Full-length productions are presented each year (alternating between opera and musicals), which are staged with costumes, scenery and orchestra, and are presented in Dover Theatre.

In addition to full productions, the GWU Opera/MusicalTheatre program also presents an annual Evening of Staged Scenes drawn from the repertoire of opera, operetta, and musicals. All productions are sung in English. Participation is open to all GWU students; however, the director’s approval is required before registering.
